Pelion and Sporades

PILIO

Pelion is probably the only place in Greece that combines both the mountain and the sea in an amazingly unique way. The beautiful mountain of Pelion leads directly to the crystal clear sea of the Pagasitikos gulf and produces a breath-taking result. The center of Greece is rich in sights. SKITOS

Beautiful landscape, a pair of wonderful Orthodox monasteries cobwebs of streets in the main town is undoubtedly attractive, but the main sights of Skiathos are beaches even though they are very crowded they are considered to be the best in the islands of Northern Sporades. All guide books tell there are 60 of them but it is also not enough. Such demand and boast can demand of only Corfu, Mikonos and Rhodes. A road along an east coast looks like the endless file of villas, hotels, restaurants, but even new building cannot take away the  natural beauty of the island. Walking along Skiathos, you'll be rewarded with magnificent views of magnificent views and taking breath away panoramas. The main port and city – Skiathos  - saved the charm of old overhead city, sinks in gardens and colors. Here is a stormy night life, excellent restaurants, night-clubs, shops with all sort(frequently by trash) of things. The museum of the famous Greek writer’s Papadiamandisa- is worth seeing. Beaches - are what worth saying. Foremost a resort of Koukouanaries (a beach of Banana Whip - is one of the most luxurious, Agia - Eleni, Mandraki, Elia), at a stately bay with clean water, a beach deepens fluently, sandy bottom, around hectares of the coniferous forest... It is very crowded here, therefore if you have a car, or you love pedestrian walks, then you have a chance to investigate an island and his beaches. There is also a riding center  here, and it is possible to accomplish horse riding here. Glorified by tourist postcards, beach of Lalaria, is on the northward of the  island and one can get there only by sea. It is famous for its steep cliffs and natural arch. Here alongside are three majestic grottoes, where one can swim in. We also recommend the beautiful beach of Mega-Yalos with grey sand and nudist beach of Ksamenos. There are wonderful terms for surfing and diving on Maromolinos, and it means a lot of  young people, loud beach evening-parties.

Do not forget about your soul:  visit monasteries and township of Castro. The monastery of Evangitestrias is extraordinarily beautiful, right after it there is a path for mules, by which it's possible to reach to the monastery Agia Halambu, and from there, a dirt road conduces to ruins of ancient small town Castro, former the capital of the island.

All pedestrian trip will occupy not more than 2 hours. Castro looks very beautiful: it was built on the cape  opensto all winds. Early days it was possible to get to the fortress  onlyby movable bridge. Ruins strongly overgrew, but 4 churches remained almost not touched, even a few frescos were saved

SCOPELOS

The vast forests paint Skeletons in tones of juicy greenery. This island is a little bit more than Skiatos, bank is more cut up, tourism is developed almost similarly as on Skitos, but without concessions to traditional taste and authentic structures. Little secluded bays-beaches were saved, there are plum gardens in bloom (an island is famous prunes), almond and pears. Skeletos and Glossa are considered to be among the most beautiful towns in the islands of Northen Sporades. Streets-steps clambering on mountains, comfortable houses under grey roofs, certainly with wooden balconies all these you’ll certainly find here. On the beaches of island there is all equipment for aquatics, дайвинга, and great number of cafe, traditional taverns, and souvenir shops.
